As for "universally accepted rules" The GCSC has no written rules about how a participant is to ride, nor how someone is supposed to judge any of the rail classes. The only thing our rules state is the following: "Decisions made by judges and referees are final, in all aspects of judgment." I do want you to know, that I personally spoke with Terresa when she first gave me the list of of the judges for the season, because the same question came up last year as well. She told me then as well as a few minutes ago, that the only people that take lessons from the judge we had at the first show is herself, her daughter and one other student of hers, and none of them show with us. Good for low-level jumping (under 3") and dressage, and a great trail saddle. All leather, well-worn and broken-in, some scuffs, but still quite serviceable. I'd keep it, but it doesn't come close to fitting my wide-backed mare; though it has fit most everything else I've ridden in the last 20 years from ponies to appendix QH. $100 obo. 2005 Wintec Close-contact -- 17", interchangeable gullet, black This is a good basic jumping saddle. All synthetic so very easy to care for. In excellent shape. Has the easy-change gullet system and comes with medium, medium wide, and extra wide gullets. $200 obo. Neither comes with fittings/stirrups. I'll have both with me at the show this weekend if anyone wants to see them/try them out. (I'll be in black breeches (new black saddle...) on a big bay mare in the adult English classes and probably in the concession stand after that). He broke his arm just above the wrist. He had to have surgery to put it back in place and a pin to hold it there. We spent the night in the hospital and had surgery on Sunday. Justin will be fine and so is Duke. It could have been much worse. I just thank the good lord that it wasn't. I think this ends Justin's Speed career.
